Reference sheet of Dustine from 12F.Ave for 'Gone Unsupervised!'

Here's a reference sheet of Dustine. As well as being second in line (here), she will make the second character appearance in Gone Unsupervised!, right after Felix.

The fact that her eyes are covered gives off two things: she's kind of mysterious and stone-faced. In reality, she claims to be extremely sentimental and dedicated to her passions, which I like to contrast with her appearance, mainly for humour. She likes comfort, so while her striped leggings and her long-sleeved shirt are there for style, she also finds them cosy to wear.

Reference sheet of Felix from 12F.Ave for 'Gone Unsupervised!'

Here's a reference sheet of Felix. As well as being first in line (here), he will make the first character appearance in Gone Unsupervised!, right before Dustine.

Despite wearing glasses and wearing primarily lime green, Felix is an extremely hot-headed and energetic person. To compensate for the reputations that glasses and the colour green usually have on characters, I gave him some extra 'edge' by making him wear a dark T-shirt with a skull and shorts, revealing a band-aid and a knee bruise on his legs.

12 Fliseai Avenue Lineup for 'Gone Unsupervised!' - 2025

This is for a comic strips/series of short comics project titled ‘Gone Unsupervised!’ and also for my reference when I draw them in general.

Twelve is a big number for a group of characters, and I really found it a bit challenging to make each character be able to stand out on their own from the rest. In the end, I think I managed to achieve this.

For an in depth look into my process, you can see my logging here (link).

Without their outfits
While I did take many of their outfits -- or, at least, their visual styles -- from their very first designs that I came up with in 2014 (at age 12), I did try to implement into them what I thought made strong character designs for this recent iteration. I also took into account the fact that these characters will be drawn in comics, meaning they'll be drawn fairly repetitively.

Because of those circumstances, I kept their appearances limited in detail, but I still tried to keep enough to add some "flavour" and identity to each character. I tried to make use of varying shapes, sizes and colour to make each of them distinct from one another.

I thought about their different fashion styles and the types of clothes that I felt best suited each individual personality and their lifestyles. Even without the context of their outfits and their clothing styles, I tried to make each character unique from one another, mainly using face shapes, body types and hair.

Another thing to note is that a lot of what had influenced the direction of the twelve characters' designs (and personalities) was the zodiac sign I assigned to them, during their creation. Since their project is more humorous in tone, their personalities are quite exaggerated and almost archetypical. I’ve actually snuck in hints to their signs somewhere in their outfits (some more subtle than others).

Notes on the direction of each character will come in their individual character sheets, which should come in the future.
